Description
We are now Offering VHF certifications at our new Jericho Beach Location!
Do you want to be able to call for help even when you’re out of cell reception? Or even just communicate with other members of your group? Carrying a VHF radio on your kayaking trips is highly recommended and a great piece of safety equipment.
To operate a VHF radio you are legally required to have an ROC (Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate).
In this course, we will teach you all there is to know about the use of VHF radios and marine safety procedures and you will have a chance to practice various scenarios. Upon passing the test at the end of the course you will be issued the Restricted Operators Certificate (Maritime) ROC – M with DSC endorsement which is good for life.
