If the following statement: "There
is no such thing as a bad day paddling" is true, then it definitely
applied to this past last night race. The rain start as the racing
headed off on their long race. Approximately 8 km of solid paddling.
The went north to Lone Rock Point, take a right at the navigation
beacon, beeline to Raccoon Island, right hand turn around Raccoon,
head for Jug Island, take another right turn and its a short jaunt
to Deep Cove. Fastest time was about 35.11 but it became too darn
wet to record more times. I wasn't sure if it was raining or if it
was my partners paddle splash. Congratulations to everyone who completed
the race. Get out there and paddle more.
Be sure to check out the 8 second
video clip of the race
