June 12th Results The race start was sabatoged by two guys in an inflatable Zodiac. It was one minute to start and these guys chugged by in their little boat, one of them said "Go" and thats all it took. Eager racers busted out of the gates off on another adventure. The course was to paddle over to Belcarra Park, Run 10 minutes south to Maple Beach near Admiralty Point, Run back and paddle back to Deep Cove. Some people completed different lengths of runs so the times are not really representational of the true length of course that people completed. Now it seems my directions were insufficient, I chose not to run and Greg, Rod and I sat and watched the transition. The leaders disappeared into the woods and a few minutes later some more paddlers arrived. They headed off for the 15 minute run through the forest. 2 minutes later these to be anonymous racers (first name starts with "Z") were back at their kayaks feeling pretting good that they completed the 15 - 20 minute run in 2 minutes and in doing so smoked Super Dave, Greg Inkster, and several other fleet footed wonders. Man, I 'd be feeling good too! Too be fair the course was confusing. So next week we will do this run again and I promise to mark the course. Its a great run with great potential for a dip. Ooops! I don't want to give away secrets.
