2000 The course was annouced and obviously nobody was listening, especially Dave. The racers swarmed around prior to the start. Many near collisions and mishaps. Little Josie was riding shot-gun with Kevin and Dave, blasting everybody with her Super Soaker. Matt was gabbing at the start as per usual and facing the wrong direction. It didn't take long for him to make-up his deficit. Race leaders started out at a slow pace, trying to confirm their understanding of the course amongst themselves. Dave, unwilling to follow the leaders took a lap around Hamber Island which he thought was Boulder. The rest of the pack behind Dave who were witnessesing a diverging race field opted for the shorter of the 2 routes. At Grey Rocks both groups became intertwined crossing paths. Our computer melted down as we were producing the results and all hell broke loose. We are still trying to find the results. OOOPS!!! |
