2000 Super Dave wasn't at the race so we could slack off. No running or other silliness The course was to Lone Rock Pt (Danger Bay Cabin) and back. A group of keeners broke away at the start. Paul Hardy, Greg Inkster on surf skis, Brian Green and Joe in their canoe, and Rod and Matt in a double. Brian & Joe fought off attacks by Matt & Rod. Several finish line battles occurred as racers tried to one up each other. Cathy and Arlene put on a burst of speed to blow by Denis & Kristen. Mary and partner came within a 1/4 of a boat length of overtaking Nicky/Shannon. Good effort by all. |
