General Manager Bob Putnam
After running Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak Centre for 10 years Bob Putnam together with business partner Erian Baxter decided to open a retail centre to better serve Vancouver's growing kayaking community. Bob has taken the same high level of customer service employed at Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak Centre and put it to work at The Kayak Shop. You will find that we work hard to understand your needs as a paddler and with our experience help you anticipate your needs as you develop your skilll and paddling ambitions.

Store Manager Chris Nagle
Chris comes to The Kayak Shop with an extensive background in sea kayak touring and white water paddling. Chris has freelanced as a sea kayak guide with a few companies on BC's coast. Chris graduated from the College of the Cariboo's Adventure Guide Program and preceded that with an MBA from Memorial University in Newfoundland. Now with a family of four Chris has decided to take a job more conducive to family life. Chris is available to help you discover kayaking no mater your level. Chris still paddles every chance he can get and is still pushing his limits.

Repairmeister Peter Buchmuller
Peter has an extensive background in fiberglass repair. He has been paddling whitewater since his youth, pre-plastic kayaks, consequently he has been breaking and repairing kayaks for a longtime. Peter has been involved in kayak design and manufacturing and has worked as a whitewater instructor and guide. Peter manages to fix the un-fixable and is able to find and repair the most elusive leaks. Peter's great sense of humour makes him a pleasure to deal with.
